Dear EANS Young Neurosurgeons,

We are delighted to invite you to take part in the 13th Annual EANS Young Neurosurgeons’ Meeting and Research Course taking place from 19th to 21st April 2024 in Hamburg, Germany. The topics of the meeting will be Spinal Oncology and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MIS).

Do you want to actively participate to the YNC Meeting?

Please respond to our Call for Abstracts and send us your abstracts for talks to be included in the scientific programme before 31 January 2024.

We are interested in clinical cases or series of cases on the following topics:

1. Spinal Oncology:

• Primary and secondary spine tumors
• Intradural extra-medullary tumors
• Intradural intramedullary tumors
• Minimally Invasive surgery for spinal tumors
• IONM in spinal tumor surgery
• Non-surgical treatment of spine tumors (radiofrequency ablation, RT, etc.)
• Complications and controversies in spinal oncology

2. Minimally invasive spine surgery (MIS):

• Monoportal/biportal endoscopic and tubular techniques
• MIS for traumatic/degenerative diseases
• MIS techniques for maintaining spinal mobility (i.e. disc replacement, laminoplasty, etc..)
• Infections’ management
• MIS lateral/posterior/anterior/360 approaches
• Complications and controversies in MIS of the spine

Best abstracts will be selected and discussed by the presenting authors during a dedicated session of the Meeting. The remaining abstracts will be selected for presentation in the format of Posters.

Abstracts should be 250 words in length and organized in the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.

Do you want to share with us a complex or particularly interesting case?

Respond to our Call for video and send us your surgical video (5 minutes, 2D or 3D video are accepted) describing the reason for video presentation, case description, positioning and surgical approach, surgical steps, outcome, discussion and conclusions. Best videos will be discussed by the presenting authors with the audience and senior experts during the meeting.

Do you want to attend practical workshops?

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend two specific pre-meeting hands-on workshops on Spinal Oncology and Minimally invasive Spine Surgery where the most updated technologies for training, including VR, will be available.
