3rd Balkan Rhino Forum
7 de abril, 2022 - 9 de abril, 2022
Dear friends and colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the upcoming 3rd Balkan Rhino Forum, which will be held on 7-9 April 2022. After a long year of pandemic – related restrictions, we are looking forward to meeting in person again and welcoming you in the historic city of Athens, Greece.
One of the most ancient cities in the world, trying to find its pace in the 21st century, Athens’ history mirrors in many ways the history of the Balkan peninsula: Multicultural, vivid, traditional yet modern, it has a lot to offer. Modern art and ancient museums, breathtaking scenery and monuments, gastronomic excellence as well as world-class night life are but a few of the reasons to visit Athens.
The congress will be held in Wyndham Grand Hotel, located a stone’s throw from the Parthenon, the picturesque district of Plaka and the National Archaeological Museum, next to a metro station, conveniently connecting it to “El. Venizelos” National Airport.
Our subspecialty is changing fast and as a scientific committee, we are doing our best to reflect this in the scientific program as much as possible. Keynote Lectures on vital and controversial topics, open discussions where experience meets evidence – based guidelines with a focus on residents and younger colleagues to whom the future belongs. We count on them not only for “participating” but also for designing the program and shaping the content, under the guidance of senior, experienced colleagues.
In times of uncertainty, only one thing is certain: If we have learned something from the onset of Covid19, it is that only through commitment, collaboration and sharing we can overcome the difficulties that lay before us. And only if science becomes “a matter of many” it can be put at the service of humanity. That is the reason that we do not wish our congress to signal a return to the previous “normality” but a new, more open and collaborative way to share knowledge and treat our patients.
See you in Athens!
